‘I am glad that you have fulfilled your promises’ …Pres. Weah hails  Bea Mountain Company

President George Manneh Weah has hailed Bea Mountain Company for fulfilling its commitment to the people in its operational areas.

Speaking at the dedication of the new Daniel F. Tolbert Vocational School in Kinjor Grand Cape Mount County, the Liberian leader said the completion of the educational facility by the mining company is a laudable initiative that demonstrates the company's strong corporate social responsibility to the people.


"I am so glad that you have fulfilled your promises by constructing this new facility including the fixing of the road respectively.Thank you, you have done well," he praised  the company's management.

The Chief Executive also encouraged Liberians in the concession area to work along  with the company in order for them to collectively achieve their desire objectives.


At the same time, President Weah stressed that  the continuous fulfilled commitment by the mining company,  especially in shouldering the needs of his people has also further cemented the both parties strong cooperation.

He then expressed the hope  that such cooperation will be expanded in the best interest of Liberians.


The project,  which came following the second  visit of President Weah to Kinjor , Grand Cape Mount in 2021,  is in fulfilment of the mineral development agreement including the resettlement action plan for the people in the concession area.


According to the company's general manager, they are aware of the capacity gaps in the country, as such,  they are working to help close its  evidence of the construction of a new , furnished and modern educational facility.

"We are now ready and  prepared to provide technical and vocational skills to our young people and we are certain that they will be adequately trained  and to be up to the task in order to be gainfully employed in the company and other places respectively," he added.


He also bragged that the company, which started in 2018 with a workforce of 600 now,  has over 3000 Liberians.


Well, upon official operations soon, the Daniel F. Tolbert Voc/Tech School will offer professional skills training services in the areas of catering, agriculture, Information, Communication Technology (ICT).

Others are Automatic, Mechanical and electrical engineering, industrial welding, among others.


Meanwhile, the happy beneficiaries all commended the company for putting smiles on their faces unlike before.


They promised to make use of the golden opportunity now provided to them by the mining company in order to make them productive as well as marketable to the larger society.
